Joe's Chimney - Dryer Vent Cleaning Service in Broward

Everyone who has a clothes dryer has some kind of dryer vent.  Mostly I clean condominium or townhouse dryer vents and single family homes' clothes dryer vents, but have equipment for certain light commercial clothes dryer vent cleanings too . Typically I do residential clothes dryer vent cleanings.  Often I have to access the attic. Dryers may have problems with venting if the dryer is in an interior room.  A simple draft test, part of our inspection, will determine if a clothes dryer vent is venting properly.  Deeper inspection of the clothes dryer vent is necessary to determine if cleaning is necessary.

Joe's Professional Dryer Vent Cleaning and Inspection

I use a specialist ro-vac system which contains special flexible rods for professional and commercial dryer vent cleaning applications.  Snap in place rod connectors, a power drill, and a high powered vacuum.

I clean the clothes dryer vent from the appliance to the exit point from the home.  This requires moving the clothes dryer and disconnecting the vent.  I inspect the exit point from the home and connection points at the clothes dryer and the clothes dryer wall vent connection.

If any dryer vent connection or dryer vent pipe is unsafe, i.e. if a portion of the vent is interfering with venting, not positively connected or unprotected and exposed at the exit point, repairs may be recommended and in some instances vents cannot be cleaned without repairing or replacing parts.  In this event no cleaning or repairs are undertaken, you will only be charged an inspection fee.

Clothes Dryer Vent Safety and Benefits of Getting a Clothes Dryer Vent Cleaned

Some common dryer vent safety protection measures are often overlooked by owners and builders, including metal and close clearance dryer vent connecters for closer wall fits without crimping the typical accordion dryer vent connection.  I can help you learn how to ensure your clothes dryer vent is protected from exterior pest intrusion or other blockage, and that your clothes dryer lint exhaust is not accumulating dangerously or prone to fire in the dryer connection, wall connection or vent.

Please note that Joe's chimney does not clean air ducts.  I specialize in chimney and clothes dryer vent inspections, cleaning and repair.

Common Clothes Dryer Vent Problems in South Florida

Many people are unaware that lint buildup is combustible in the clothes dryer connection (inside the house) and vent (inside the wall, to an exterior exit point). Following are some common clothing dryer vent problems:

  • Fire Hazard
  • Animal Nests
  • Insect Entry
